The Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project is a large-scale petrochemical project with a total investment of approximately 22.6 billion yuan. The main goal of this project is to build 9 sets of major production facilities, including 1.2 million tons/year of ethylene. The ethylene unit of this project adopts the core technology of the national ethane cracking to produce ethylene demonstration project, which has the characteristics of economies of scale, advanced technology, and leading environmental protection.
On the morning of August 16, 2024, the first over limit equipment stainless steel ethylene tower for the Tarim 1.2 million tons/year Phase II ethylene project undertaken by our company, Dushanzi Petrochemical Company, was officially delivered.
The first oversized equipment ethylene tower delivered this time has a diameter of 6.6 meters, a total length of 80.2 meters, and a maximum wall thickness of 46 millimeters. Due to transportation limitations, all equipment bodies are manufactured on-site. To ensure project progress and product quality requirements, our company has overcome difficulties, strived for excellence, adopted new technologies and methods, and completed various tasks such as tower manufacturing and hydraulic testing with high standards and quality.
At that time, the construction site experienced sustained high temperatures and dryness in summer, with occasional occurrences of sandstorms. This is undoubtedly a huge challenge for our company. In the face of difficulties, Hanyang people are not afraid of hardships and have shown the same spirit of struggle as always. After four months of full effort, they not only successfully completed the manufacturing task of the ethylene tower on schedule, but also achieved a first pass pass rate of 99.8% for the overall equipment welds after nearly 4000 flaw detection films were tested. This is also another record of Hanyang Heavy Industry's welding quality.
Hua Jianzhong, Chief Expert of Dushanzi Petrochemical Company and Deputy Commander of Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project, as well as Li Heli, Chairman of our company, and Wang Fei, Project Manager of Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project of China Huanqiu Engineering Co., Ltd., delivered speeches at the delivery ceremony.
Zhu Yongguo, Engineering Director of the Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project Management Department, announced the successful delivery of the ethylene tower in the ethylene plant.
The delivery of the ethylene tower is only the first important milestone in project execution, and there are still dozens of equipment and manufacturing tasks to be completed. Hanyang Heavy Industry is confident and capable of completing the manufacturing tasks well in the following work, providing customers with the highest quality equipment.
